A modern day baseball record was set resulting in the most runs taken away from a team.    Mike Collins of the Tampa Bay Blacksox had a two out hit with runners on 2nd & 3rd on the wide side and 3rd on the flip side. All three base runners crossed the plate however Collins ran the wrong way and was thrown out at flip 1st for the 3rd out    resulting in the 3 runs not counting.

The Daytona Stingrays have scored over 100 runs in there first 12 games of the season in which they have out scored their opponents 105-20 during this time.

NXBL implements Xtreme DH Rule in which a batter can be used at any time in the lineup each inning. The Xtreme DH is however limited to six plate appearances per game.

Daytona Stingrays 6-0 undefeated  winning  streak was snapped by the Tampa Bay BlackSox who won 4-0 at Al Lang Stadium in St Petersburg , FL

Daytona Stingrays (6-0) remain undefeated and have won there 4th straight shutout. They have out scored their opponents 37-0 during their shutout steak and for the season have outscored their opponents 60-8.

The Daytona Stingrays becomes the first NXBL Franchised owned team. The new owners are McCormick & McCormicks Holdings Group LLC

5/20/2010 Tampa Bay BlackSox   make Al Lang Stadium, St Pete, FL there Official Home Field.

The NXBL kicks off its 4th Season. Daytona gets the win over Orlando at home 11-1 and SpaceCoast won over Tampa 8-7 at home

The NXBL is  re formatting the NE division to accommodate the  2010 regions field availability. The reformatting will consist of adding a CT based team and placing the PA team as an 2011 or 2012 expansion team.

2/10/2010 The NXBL received the utility patent for Xtreme Baseball / Double Diamond Baseball and was officially published by the USPTO on Feb 9th, 2010

The Florida Division Opening Day Game will be scheduled on Saturday  May 8th. The locations will be announced soon.

The Miami Pythons will cease operations for the 2010 season and be replaced by a new Florida team called the Florida (Space Coast) Rockets  which will be based out of Cocoa, FL. The Pythons franchise will be set aside for a possible expansion team in 2011.

1/02/10
The NXBL is moving forward with its NE US division to begin this year(2010). The Teams as of now will be the NY Kings, Philadelphia Pioneers, New Jersey Comets and Boston Minutemen.

The NXBL will be conducting winter meetings in NYC from 12/16-1/06 for its NYC expansion league and NE operations.

5-2 over the Miami Pythons. Ronnie Porter got his 3rd straight win striking out 15. Keith Greboz came in the 8th inning to  get the save. Adam Newman hit a solo homerun in the 5th.

The Daytona Stingrays advance to the NXBL Season Championship by beating the Tampa Bay Blacksox 7-6 at Hollyland Park on Saturday. Pitcher Ronny Porter got the win by coming in for relieve in the 4th inning and striking out nine. Porter also got the tie breaking hit to  bring in the wining run in the 9th.
The entire game was played for the 1st time in the Double Duel Mode.

9/21 Miami Python playerAlberto  Burgos  signs with the new Winter Baseball League. Also Pythons Manuel Noriega gets a scholarship with ERAU

9/20 Daytona Stingrays beat the Miami Pythons  7-3 to advance 1/2 game back behind the 1st Place Pythons. The game was played for the first time utilizing a single diamond format using the same double diamond rules. 


9/10/09
The NXBL releases Orlando Dragon coaches and team captain over improper usage of the Orlando Dragon name.

8/29 Miami Pythons score four runs in the last inning  in a 7-6 come back from behind win over  the Orlando Dragons.

8/23 The Orlando Dragons  have out scored there opponents 35-7 over the last two games to move a 1/2 game back behind the Tampa Bay Black Sox

8/3/09 Daytona Stingrays Pitcher Cory Staford agrees to a 9k college scholarship with Temple University.

7/26/09  The Tampa Bay Black Sox and Daytona Stingrays move into a three way tie for 1st place with the Miami Pythons who are all now (3-2). The Orlando  Dragons Drop to 1-4


6/29 NXBL Increases amount of Double Duels allowed per game from 1 to 3 for each team

6/14 NXBL switches  batting/pitching rotation to a full at bat  between diamonds in replace of a pitch by ptch rotation.

6/13/09 Miami Pythons (2-0) win their home opener @ Cocoa Expo 18-12 over the Tampa Bay Black Sox (1-2)

5/30/09 NXBL will change its current one pitch interval  between diamonds to a three pitch interval. The change will take effect on 6//5/09  

5/16 Tampa Bay BlackSox record there 1st victory in their leagues franchises history 11-9 over the Orlando Dragons.

11/06/08 The NXBL 2008 Championship Game on Nov 15th will be FREE to the public.

10/22/08 The 2008 Season Championship will be held  Saturday  Nov 15th @ Holly Land Park in Holly Hill FL between the 1st Place Orlando Dragons and 2nd Place Miami Pythons

10/05/08 Due to funding problems the NXBL will most likely be shortening its remaining 2008 season by discontinuing any remaining regular season games. The seasons final championship tournament is tentatively scheduled for 11/14 & 11/15th.  The championship tournament would consist of  games   between the 1st and 4th place team and the 2nd and 3rd place team. The winners of these two games would then play for the season championship.

9/19/08 NXBL cancels games at Fort Lauderdale Stadium due to  financial strains mainly caused from the trickle down effect of the national economic crisis. The league plans to close out the season using more affordable "friendly" city recreation facilities. 

9/05/08 NXBL moves back Miami game opener from 9/14  to 9/21 due to threatening CAT 4 Hurricane Ike.

9/03/08 NXBL Cancels 9/06 Game in Daytona due to field damage caused by Tropical Storm Hanna.

8/21/08 NXBL agrees to terms to contract games at the Baltimore Orioles spring training stadium at Ft Lauderdale FL to host Miami Pythons home games. Opening game is scheduled for Sept 14th.

Henry Diaz (2-0) goes 10 complete innings to earn his 2nd win of the season as the Dragons (6-1) continue their 1st place surge.

8/9/08 The Orlando Dragons played  their home opener on August 9th at Sanford Memorial Stadium beating the Tampa Bay Black Sox 14-4

7/30/08 The Miami Pythons

seek 2008 home games to be held at Ft Lauderdale Stadium. Games could begin as early as August 24th.

7/26/08 The Orlando Dragons (4-1) claim first place

by beating the Daytona Stingrays (3-2) 11-10 at Hollyland Park.

7/21/08 The NXBL move forward with plans to add a North East division to its 2009 season. The 2009 season is projected to consist of two US divisions which will include a   SE and a  NE division consisting of 4-5 teams per division.

7/12/08 The Daytona Stingrays move into a tie for 1st place with a 11-7 win over the Orlando Dragons.

6/13/08 Dragons batter Dannier  Reyes made modern day baseball history by hitting the 1st 6 run homerun in a Double Duel (one run short of a Double Duel Grandslam)  as the Dragons defeated the BlackSox 21-1.

5/31/08 Orlando Dragons upset the Stingrays in there season debut 17-11. The Double Duel was called by both teams for the e 1st time in NXBL season. Dragon's Mike Lizardi hit 2 homeruns. His 2nd homerun was the 1st one hit in a Double Duel making NXBL history.

The Daytona Stingrays beat the Miami Pythons 12-4 at the South Divisions Inaugural   Season Home opener at Hollyland Park, Holly Hill, FL  .

4/20/08 NXBL reaches agreement with www.DSPN.com  to broadcast games live on the internet during its 2008 Inaugural Season.

4/10/08 The NXBL reached an agreement with the City of Holly Hill, FL to have the Daytona Stingrays 2008 Home games held at Hollyland Park.

11/17/07 NXBL has exhibition season finale with  Daytona Stingrays vs Miami Pythons at Sanford Memorial Stadium.

11/10/07 NXBL conducts 1st Double Duel 3 inning demsontration at Sanford Memorial Stadium

11/01/07 NXBL applies for a non provisional utility patent of the game after its one year provisional patent application was met.

8/25/07 NXBL creates double duel version using a variation of the original concept which implements two offensive batters against one defensive team utilizing two pitchers.

8/01/07 NXBL forms 4th team to the league the Daytona Stingrays.

6/01/07 NXBL forms 3rd team to the league the Tampa Bay Black Sox's.

5/30/07 NXBL conducts Orlando debut at Tinker Field in downtown Orlando.

5/05/07 NXBL has world debut game at Sanford Memorial Stadium. Jeff Bose of the Miami Pythons  hits first NXBL homerun which was none the less a grandslam!

The Xtreme Baseball Concept was born. The double diamond came to life. First concept was to use simultaneous pitching. After considering the danger factor a more conservative alternating pitching method would be used. Simultaneous pitching gets placed on the back burner for possible use latter in the games development.
